Title 15 › Chapter CHAPTER 58— - FULL EMPLOYMENT AND BALANCED GROWTH › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER II— - POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR CONGRESSIONAL REVIEW › § 3132
The Joint Economic Committee must review and analyze the Economic Report’s short-term and medium-term goals when it studies the Report and holds hearings under the Employment Act. The committee must hold hearings and take testimony from Members of Congress, federal agency representatives, the public, and interested groups, and it must consider comments from State and local officials. Within 30 days after Congress gets the Economic Report, any Senate or House committee with lawmaking authority or any joint committee may send the Joint Economic Committee a report with views and recommendations about parts of the Report that touch their work. By March 15 each year, a majority of the Joint Economic Committee must send a report to the Senate and House Budget Committees. That report must include findings, recommendations, and analyses that compare the Economic Report’s short- and medium-term goals.
