Title 15 › Chapter CHAPTER 78— - SUPERCONDUCTIVITY AND COMPETITIVENESS › § 5202
Create a five-year national plan for advanced superconductivity research and development. The Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) must prepare the plan and work with the National Critical Materials Council and the National Commission on Superconductivity. The plan must set research goals and priorities, say which federal departments and agencies will do what, recommend funding for the five years after November 19, 1988 for each participating agency, and describe how industry and universities can join. OSTP and the Critical Materials Council must send the plan to the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology and to the Senate Committees on Energy and Natural Resources and on Commerce, Science, and Transportation within 9 months after November 19, 1988. OSTP must then send an annual progress report, showing funds spent by federal agencies, with the President’s yearly budget to those same committees.
