Summary

Only Y2K lawsuits must follow extra pleading rules. They do not change other federal or state court procedures except to require more information be filed with the complaint. The complaint must give specific facts and amounts for each damage claimed; describe how any product or service defect appears and present facts showing it is material; and state facts for each part of any claim that create a strong inference the person being sued had the required state of mind.
