Summary

Only the appropriate U.S. district court can hear lawsuits under this law that involve an insurance company moving its legal home from one state to another. If a court finds one part of the law invalid, the rest stays in effect and still applies to other people and situations.

(a)The appropriate United States district court shall have exclusive jurisdiction over litigation arising under this section 11 See References in Text note below. involving any redomesticating or redomesticated insurer.
(b)If any provision of this section,1 or the application thereof to any person or circumstances, is held invalid, the remainder of the section,1 and the application of such provision to other persons or circumstances, shall not be affected thereby.
