Financial help from the Administration must be matched with nonfederal funds at least 50 cents for every dollar it gives. Matches can come from fees, grants, gifts, loan funds, or in-kind contributions from public or private sources. If an applicant has severe limits on matching money, the Administrator may reduce or waive the match, but no more than 10 percent of the Administration’s total funds in any fiscal year may be excepted.
