Title 15 › Chapter CHAPTER 15B— - NATURAL GAS › § 717j
When two or more States ask Congress to approve an agreement about conserving, making, moving, or selling natural gas, the Commission must gather relevant facts. It must publish what it finds and send a report to Congress. The report should include any suggested laws needed to help the agreement work and to support fair, orderly, and economical conservation, production, transportation, and distribution of natural gas. The Commission must also keep up-to-date information on any such agreements already approved by Congress, make that information public, and report to Congress from time to time with recommendations. The Commission should use records and help from federal departments and agencies whenever possible, and the President may order those agencies to assist.
