Title 15 › Chapter CHAPTER 101— - NANOTECHNOLOGY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT › § 7502
The President must set up a National Nanotechnology Coordination Office with a Director and full-time staff. The Office must help the nanotechnology Council and Advisory Panel with technical and administrative work, be the main federal contact for government, universities, industry, professional groups, state programs, and citizens, run public outreach and share Advisory Panel findings, and help move nanotech advances into federal agencies and U.S. industry, including startups. The Office will be paid through interagency funding under section 631 of Public Law 108–7. Within 90 days after December 3, 2003, the Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy must report to the Senate Commerce Committee and the House Science Committee on how much funding the Office needs, whether current funding methods are adequate, and what was done to secure steady funding.
