Title 15 › Chapter CHAPTER 108— - STATE-BASED INSURANCE REFORM › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER II— - REINSURANCE › § 8222
If a reinsurer’s home state is NAIC‑accredited or has solvency rules very similar to NAIC accreditation, that home state must be the only state in charge of the reinsurer’s financial health. Other states cannot force the reinsurer to provide extra financial information beyond what the home state requires. A state that is not the reinsurer’s home state may still receive copies of any financial statements the reinsurer files with its home state.
