The Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy must create an Interagency Committee for Advancing Weather Services to coordinate federal weather research and forecasting. The committee must include agencies like NASA, the FAA, NOAA, and the National Science Foundation and be co-chaired by the Federal Coordinator for Meteorology; it must set top forecast priorities, match those priorities to budgets and programs, and share operational and forecasting information across agencies, and the Director must also coordinate with the weather industry, States, emergency managers, and researchers.
