§9013 Community Navigator pilot program

Summary

Creates a Community Navigator pilot program that gives grants, contracts, or cooperative agreements to nonprofits, resource partners, States, Tribes, and local governments so they can provide free help to current or future owners of eligible small businesses. The help is meant to make it easier for those businesses to find and use federal, State, Tribal, and local COVID–19 relief programs and other SBA resources. The law provides $100,000,000 for those grants under fiscal year 2021, available until September 30, 2022. The SBA must also run a promotion and outreach effort that includes a telephone hotline, referrals, outreach in the 10 most commonly spoken languages in the United States, website improvements, and an advertising campaign. An additional $75,000,000 is provided for those outreach activities for fiscal year 2021, available until September 30, 2022. The SBA’s authority to make grants under this program ends on December 31, 2025.
