The Secretary of Transportation can require, when reasonable and practical, airlines that get federal loans or loan guarantees to keep scheduled flights to any place they served before March 1, 2020. The Secretary must consider the needs of small and remote communities and the need to keep health care and medicine supply lines (including medical devices and supplies) working. This authority ends on March 1, 2022.
