§9304 Partnerships in sustainable chemistry

Title 15 › Chapter CHAPTER 118— - SUSTAINABLE CHEMISTRY › § 9304

Last updated Apr 6, 2026|Official source

Summary

Federal agencies in the program may help create and support partnerships between colleges, nonprofits, groups of companies, and businesses across the chemistry supply chain, including small- and medium-sized businesses. These partnerships must work together on sustainable chemistry research, development, demonstrations, moving technology to market, and training students and retraining professional scientists, engineers, and others who specify materials. Training can include making or recognizing college and professional courses and advertising those courses to recruit learners. To get support, a partnership must include at least one private company. When choosing partners, the agencies will look at how much the applicants support the goals in the strategic plan and report in section 9302 of this title. Program money cannot be used to support or expand a state regulatory chemical program, to build or fix buildings, or to promote or attack a specific product, process, or technology.
