Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER XII— - MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK › § 117
The United States has sole control of Mesa Verde National Park. Colorado can still serve legal papers, prosecute cases about acts that happened outside the park, and tax people and businesses on park land. Park residents as of or after April 25, 1928 keep county voting rights. Federal laws apply, and fugitives in the park are treated the same as fugitives elsewhere in Colorado.
