The Secretary may accept land inside Lassen Volcanic National Park if the Park Service Director finds it useful for forest or recreation. In return, the Secretary may trade equal value of park land or allow equal-value timber removal from park areas. Timber removal must not harm recreation and must follow forestry rules. Accepted land becomes part of the park, and the Secretary sets values.
