About six acres of land are added to the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park in Kentucky. One piece was transferred to the United States by J. R. Howell and Mattie Johnson Howell and by W. L. Ferrill and Minnie Ferrill on June 15, 1945, and that deed was recorded June 25, 1946 in Deed Book 58, page 262, Larue County, Kentucky. The other piece was transferred to the United States by Carl J. Howell and Dorothy N. Howell and was recorded April 18, 1947 in Deed Book 59, page 435, Larue County, Kentucky.
