Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 52— - SALMON AND STEELHEAD CONSERVATION AND ENHANCEMENT › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER IV— - COMMERCIAL FISHING FLEET ADJUSTMENT › § 3332
The State must send a plan to the Secretary within three months after December 22, 1980. The plan must offer incentives so people can retire licenses early or sell boats, set aside funds for each kind of fishing gear to meet planned cuts, and cause a quick and real drop in fishing capacity and in the number of vessels and licenses in the non-Indian commercial and charter salmon fleets in the Washington conservation area. The State must also pay 25 percent of the program’s total cost.
