Park officers can take any guns, traps, teams, horses, or other transport used inside the park to kill, trap, or capture wild animals. Those items become United States property and can be kept while the person is prosecuted. If the person is convicted, the items are taken away as an extra punishment. The Secretary of the Interior decides how to handle and record the seized property.
