Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER XLVII— - MAMMOTH CAVE NATIONAL PARK › § 404b
The National Park Service must manage, protect, and develop the park under the Act of August 25, 1916, as amended, and it does this under the direction of the Secretary of the Interior. The Federal Power Act (16 U.S.C. 791a et seq.) does not apply to the park. At least 20,000 acres of Mammoth Cave National Park must be managed and protected by the Park Service. No general development can start until the Secretary accepts a major portion of the remaining land, including all the caves, and the Secretary has set a schedule of fees for cave admission.
