Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER LI— - INDEPENDENCE NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK › § 407m–7
The Secretary of the Interior may transfer a part of Independence National Historical Park (Project B) — about 15,650 square feet at the northeast corner of South Fifth Street and Marshall Court (formerly Manning Street) in Philadelphia, plus the buildings on it — to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Philadelphia. The transfer can be an exchange for property or interests the Authority owns that are of approximately equal value and that the Secretary believes are needed for the park; the land given away will stop being park land, and the land received will become park land and follow the same park laws and rules.
