The Secretary must set up an Advisory Commission of no more than fifteen people to give advice on making or updating the Mojave National Preserve’s management plan. The commission must include an elected official from each county that contains any part of the preserve, a person who represents owners of private land inside or next to the preserve, and other members who represent grazing, mineral interests, and experts such as geologists, biologists, ecologists, law enforcement, and park resource managers. If a seat becomes vacant, the Secretary fills it so the mix of views stays the same. The commission must follow the rules in chapter 10 of title 5 for how it works, and it will end ten years after it is created.
