The Secretary must set up an Advisory Commission of no more than fifteen people to advise on making and carrying out a new or updated comprehensive management plan for Death Valley National Park. The commission must include an elected official from each County that has any part of the park, a representative of nearby private property owners, people involved in grazing and range management and in mineral exploration and development, and experts in fields like geology, biology, ecology, law enforcement, and park resource protection. The Secretary will fill any vacancies to keep the needed range of views. The commission’s procedures must follow chapter 10 of title 5. It will end ten years after it is created.
