Within 3 years after funds are made available, and in consultation with the Cane River Heritage Area Commission, the National Park Service must prepare a general management plan for the historical park. The plan must show how visitors will be served (programs and facilities, and the location and cost of an interpretive center); describe joint programs and preservation work with the Commission (for important sites, buildings, objects, and research materials, and for educational media, road signs, and brochures); and include preservation and use plans for any sites or structures the Park Service will help manage under cooperative agreements.
