The Secretary must allow hunting or fishing on lands and waters he manages in the New River Gorge National River, following federal and state law. He may close certain areas or set times when hunting or fishing is not allowed for safety, management, or public use, but except in emergencies he must talk with the State agency first. West Virginia may stock fish there in consultation with the Secretary, and the State keeps its authority over fish and wildlife.
