Creates the Chaco Culture National Historical Park in New Mexico. The park covers approximately 33,989 acres shown on a map numbered 310/80,032–A dated August 1979. The old Chaco Canyon National Monument is ended, and any money set aside for the monument can be used for the new park. Names 39 nearby archaeological protection sites that together total approximately 14,372 acres, shown on a map numbered 310/80,033–B dated September 1991. That map must be kept for public viewing at the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management State Director’s office in Santa Fe, the Bureau of Indian Affairs Area Director’s office in Window Rock, and the Arizona and New Mexico State Historic Preservation Officers.
