Summary

The Secretary must, if funds are available, acquire Hawthorn Hill, the Wright Company factory, the Wright Cycle Company Building, and Hoover Block, and can also acquire other listed park properties by donation, purchase with donated or appropriated funds, exchange, or transfer. The Secretary can make agreements with federal, state, local, or private groups to help preserve, develop, use, and explain these properties. The Secretary can partner with groups, including the Wright Family Foundation, to run Hawthorn Hill, offer programs, and charge reasonable fees to help pay park costs. Agreements should, when appropriate, let the public visit at reasonable times and allow the Secretary, after talking with the Aviation Heritage Foundation, to make improvements to help people enjoy the sites and programs.
