The Secretary of the Interior may accept donations of land, buildings, other property, and money located within one mile of Fort Donelson National Battlefield. He must get clear proof of ownership and may use donated funds to buy needed tracts at prices he finds reasonable or by condemnation. Land acquired then becomes part of the battlefield and is subject to its laws.
