The Secretary of the Interior must take full control of Sequoia National Park and quickly make rules to manage and protect it. The rules must keep timber, mineral deposits, and special natural features in their natural state. The Secretary may lease small tracts (up to five acres) for visitor buildings for up to ten years; lease money and other park income must be used under his direction for park upkeep and for roads and paths. He must stop wanton killing or commercial taking of fish and game, remove trespassers after this law and section 41 took effect, and may take other actions needed to carry out these duties.
