Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER LXIII— - NATIONAL SEASHORE RECREATIONAL AREAS › § 459a–9
The Secretary of the Interior may transfer a tract of land and its buildings in the village of Hatteras, Dare County, North Carolina (formerly GSA excess property No. C–NC–444), measuring one and five-tenths acres, to the Board of Commissioners of Dare County so they can provide a public health facility. The Secretary will set the exact boundaries and the transfer is for no money. If the county uses the property for anything other than a public health facility, ownership must return to the United States after the Secretary finds that and notifies the county. Once transferred, the property is no longer part of Cape Hatteras National Seashore.
