Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER LXIII— - NATIONAL SEASHORE RECREATIONAL AREAS › § 459c–1
Defines the Point Reyes National Seashore to include the lands, waters, and submerged lands shown on the official map number 612–80,008–E (dated May 1978) and the areas shown on the map called Point Reyes and GGNRA Amendments (dated October 25, 1979). The main map is kept at the National Park Service offices in Washington, D.C., where the public can view it. The Secretary may make small boundary changes after notifying the House Committee on Natural Resources and the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources in writing and by publishing the change in the Federal Register. The area also includes a right-of-way near the northwest part of Bear Valley Ranch, chosen by the Secretary, up to 400 feet wide, plus any nearby land that would lose access because of that right-of-way.
