Creates the Lake Meredith National Recreation Area in Texas to give the public places to enjoy outdoor recreation and to protect the area's scenic, scientific, cultural, and other values. The recreation area includes the lands and waters shown on the Lake Meredith National Recreation Area Boundary Map (number SWRO–80,023–A, dated September 1990), a copy of which is on file for public viewing at National Park Service offices. The Secretary of the Interior may make small boundary changes. Federal lands and waters inside the area are placed under the National Park Service, except lands on the map needed to run the Canadian River Project for municipal and industrial water supply and for flood control, which stay with the Bureau of Reclamation.
