Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER LXX— - OZARK NATIONAL SCENIC RIVERWAYS › § 460m
Set aside and create the Ozark National Scenic Riverways using the area shown on map number NR OZA 7002 dated December 1963, kept on file at the National Park Service. The goal is to protect scenic, natural, and historic features, keep parts of the Current River and the Jacks Fork River free-flowing, protect springs and caves, manage wildlife, and provide outdoor recreation for the people. No more than 65,000 acres of privately owned land may be included, and no lands within two miles of the current town limits of Eminence and Van Buren, Missouri may be designated. The Secretary of the Interior, with the State’s agreement, must include Big Springs, Alley Springs, and Round Spring State Parks and try to get those park lands donated for inclusion.
