The Secretary can work with the State of Missouri, local governments, and other federal groups to make and carry out plans for the Ozark National Scenic Riverways and the Current and Jacks Fork Rivers watershed. Those plans can cover land use and development, protecting scenic beauty, and conserving outdoor resources. The Secretary must allow hunting and fishing on lands and waters he manages there, following federal and state law. He may set places or times where hunting is not allowed for safety, management, or public enjoyment, and must make rules after consulting the Missouri Conservation Commission.
