Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER CXXVI— - LAS CIENEGAS NATIONAL CONSERVATION AREA › § 460ooo–1
Creates the Sonoita Valley Acquisition Planning District so the government can buy important conservation land in the Sonoita Valley region of Arizona. The district covers about 142,800 acres in Pima and Santa Cruz counties and includes the Conservation Area shown on a map dated October 2, 2000. Soon after December 6, 2000, the Secretary must send Congress a map and legal description. If that conflicts with the October 2, 2000 map, the October 2, 2000 map controls. The map and description will carry the same legal weight as the law, and the Secretary may fix clerical or typographical errors. Copies are kept at the BLM Director’s office and the BLM office in Arizona.
