Summary

When the Secretary of Agriculture decides the United States owns or has bought enough land, water, or rights inside the Shasta unit or the Clair Engle-Lewiston unit to begin efficient initial development and management under this subchapter, the Secretary must publish a notice and a detailed boundary description in the Federal Register. When the Secretary of the Interior makes the same finding for the Whiskeytown unit, the Secretary must publish a notice and boundary description in the Federal Register. After such a notice is published, each Secretary may keep acquiring the remaining property in the recreation area.
