The Secretary of Agriculture must, as soon as possible after May 31, 1966, name the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area as part of the Jefferson National Forest in Virginia. The area must match the boundaries on the map titled "Proposed Mount Rogers National Recreation Area", dated 1965, which is on file for public viewing in the office of the Chief, Forest Service, Department of Agriculture. The Secretary must publish a notice of the designation in the Federal Register and include a map showing the recreation area's boundaries.
