Creates the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore on the Lake Michigan shore and nearby islands in Benzie and Leelanau Counties, Michigan to protect forests, beaches, dunes, and glacial features from harmful development. The Interior Secretary may set it up and must manage the place for recreation while maximizing protection of the environment. Federal, state, and local governments must work together on planning and zoning, and private property must be respected.
