Lease money can be used to pay for running the leases and for building, improving, and keeping up roads, utilities, buildings, and other facilities at the El Portal administrative site. The Secretary can hire managers, buy or sell remaining lease terms, use improvements for El Portal or for Yosemite National Park, and use lease proceeds to pay those contracts. The Secretary can also acquire (buy, accept as a donation, or exchange for) the remaining term of any lease or sublease using lease proceeds, donated money, or appropriated funds.
