§5306 Authorization of appropriations

Summary

Provides $10,000,000 to the Fund for each fiscal year 2025 through 2029, and the money stays available until it is spent. Each year, the Secretary can use up to 3% of the funds or $100,000, whichever is larger, to pay the administrative costs needed to run the program.

(a)There is authorized to be appropriated to the Fund $10,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2025 through 2029 to carry out this chapter, to remain available until expended.
(b)Of amounts available each fiscal year to carry out this chapter, the Secretary may expend not more than 3 percent or $100,000, whichever is greater, to pay the administrative expenses necessary to carry out this chapter.
