Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 3— - FORESTS; FOREST SERVICE; REFORESTATION; MANAGEMENT › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER IV— - SUSTAINED-YIELD FOREST MANAGEMENT › § 583e
If a private forest landowner or a buyer of timber breaks the rules of a cooperative agreement, the Attorney General can sue in federal district court to make them follow the agreement when the Secretary asks. This does not replace other legal options. The court can issue temporary or final orders to enforce the agreement. "Owner" means the landowner and their heirs, successors, and assigns.
