Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 3C— - WATER CONSERVATION › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER II— - CONSERVATION AND UTILIZATION PROJECTS › § 590z–8
Gives the Secretary of the Interior the same powers to use United States land for projects under this part that he has for projects under the Federal Reclamation laws (Act of June 17, 1902 (32 Stat. 388)), except for lands bought under section 590z–3. Also lets the Secretary handle construction and supply contracts and to buy, trade, sell, or move land, land interests, water rights, and other property for those projects. He may buy land and water rights with titles and at prices he accepts, just as he can under the Federal Reclamation laws.
