Last updated Apr 6, 2026|Official source

Summary

Within 4 years after April 29, 2022, each Secretary must, as much as possible, post digital GIS maps on their agency website showing federal interests in private land—like easements (excluding flowage easements), reservations, and rights‑of‑way—where the federal government does not own the land and that could provide public recreational access. They must also set up a way for the public to send questions or comments about that information.
