Authorized Department of the Interior employees that the Secretary names can arrest someone without a warrant if they see that person breaking the rules in sections 690–690i or related regulations. They can take the person to an appropriate officer or court for questioning or trial. They can also carry out warrants or other court orders. A U.S. judge or magistrate judge can issue those warrants if sworn evidence shows probable cause. Any birds, animals, their parts, nests, eggs, and any grass or other natural growth taken, injured, killed, or removed in violation of sections 690–690i or related regulations must be seized when found by those employees or by a marshal or deputy marshal.
