The Secretary must work with the Secretary of State to make sure the United States has people at international fish and wildlife meetings. The State Department must name the Secretary of the Interior, the Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife, or someone chosen by the Interior Secretary to be on U.S. delegations and negotiation teams. The Secretary must be consulted on foreign technical or economic aid when fish or wildlife are involved, must take part in trade talks under section 1351 of title 19 when fish products are directly affected, and must meet regularly with government and nonprofit groups about fish and wildlife issues.
