Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 9— - FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE › § 742h
The Secretary can write reports for the President and Congress about imported fishery products. The Secretary can also report to the U.S. International Trade Commission when asked under 19 U.S.C. 1364 or during an investigation under the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 U.S.C. 1332). Any part of the U.S. industry that makes a similar or competing product can request a report. The reports look at two things: whether U.S. producers have seen drops in production, jobs, prices, or sales; and whether imports of the fishery product have increased, either in total or compared with U.S. production.
