Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 9— - FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE › § 753a
Allows the Secretary of the Interior or the Secretary of Commerce, as appropriate, to keep making agreements with colleges and universities, state game and fish departments, and nonprofit groups to run cooperative research units for fish and wildlife. Federal involvement must be limited. The government can assign its scientific staff to the units, provide help including reasonable pay for researchers working on fish and wildlife ecology and resource management projects paid for under this subsection, lend available equipment for the units, and pay incidental expenses for federal staff and employees of cooperating agencies assigned to the units.
