Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 10— - NORTHERN PACIFIC HALIBUT FISHING › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER IV— - NORTHERN PACIFIC HALIBUT ACT OF 1982 › § 773g
Committing certain acts the law forbids is a crime. If a person does one of those acts, they can be fined up to $200,000, jailed for up to 6 months, or both. If the person uses a dangerous weapon, injures a law enforcement officer enforcing the law, or makes that officer fear immediate harm, the penalty is higher: a fine up to $400,000, prison for up to 10 years, or both. Federal courts have authority to handle these cases.
