It removes certain lands from Sierra and Sequoia National Forests and makes them part of Kings Canyon National Park. All land in Tehipite Valley inside Sierra National Forest that lies north of a boundary starting at the hydrographic divide on the southwest side of the Gorge of Despair (section 13, township 12 south, range 29 east, Mount Diablo base and meridian), following the crest called Silver Spur to the west line of section 14 (T12S R29E), then in a straight line across the Middle Fork of the Kings River to the right bank at the 4,400‑foot contour north of Tombstone Ridge in section 15 (T12S R29E), is added to the park. Also added is the Cedar Grove area of Sequoia National Forest east of the west section lines of sections 11 and 14 (township 13 south, range 30 east, Mount Diablo base and meridian). These lands are subject to the park’s laws and rules.
