If a person intentionally and knowingly breaks something this chapter forbids, or fails on purpose to do something it requires, they can be punished. If convicted, the court can fine them up to $1,000,000, send them to jail for up to 5 years, or both. If a person intentionally and knowingly breaks a rule or order made by the Commission under this chapter, or a rule by the Secretary of the Army under subchapter I, they can also be fined up to $25,000 for each day the violation continues, on top of any other penalties.
