All money from selling electricity made at the Fort Peck project must go into the U.S. Treasury as miscellaneous receipts. The Treasury must set aside and keep a permanent $500,000 fund for the Bureau to pay operating costs, emergency expenses, and to keep generation and transmission running for power the Bureau handles. Congress may also provide more money from other available Treasury funds as needed to carry out the law, including buying and installing generators and building transmission and sales facilities.
