Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 12D— - COLUMBIA BASIN PROJECT › § 835e
When land or land interests are taken under sections 835d–835h, the Secretary of the Interior must decide a fair amount of money to pay the Indians. Tribal payments will be moved from Treasury funds provided for building the Columbia Basin project into the tribe’s account under section 155 of title 25, and amounts for individual owners or their heirs will come from the same project funds and be paid to the superintendent of the Colville Indian Agency (or another officer the Secretary names) to be credited to the individuals’ accounts.
